This year (2026) I will be a volunteer at 'The Open' Major Championship being played at Royal Birkkdale. I'll be at Royal Birkdale for 8 days and nights. Follow me to see what it's like to be up close to the players, the fans and the carpark. Not necessarily in that order.

After lots of emails, late night phone calls, video interviews etc I have at last been accepted as a volunteer at The Open being played this year at Royal Birkdale. I've been lucky to have played Royal Birkdale a few times now and now I'll be documenting my 'behind the scenes experiences' over the 8 days of volunteering at the 154th Open!
